require a $100 application fee. This fee will help offset
the cost of all the professionals involved.

Wetlands
Homes adjacent to the freshwater wetland nature preservation
areas are likely constructed right at the setback limit
from the wetland. This optimizes your view and enjoyment
of the open space. Beaufort County and the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers as well as the S.C. Office of Ocean
and Coastal Resource Management all enforce this setback
from the wetlands in order to provide a filtration for
storm water flowing into the nature preserve. You may
not construct anything in this buffer setback area.
